With over 20 years of experience in the games industry, Jon's unique skill set in art, technology, and design significantly contributed to 150 shipped game titles. As a Founding Member of Telltale Games (2004-2018), and a leader of production technologies, Jon played a key role in the Technical Art department. While his focus was on developing art technology, Jon's proficiency in the field often required him to direct and lead with other department heads (i.e., engineering, art, production, QA, etc.) within the company to complete projects.
Jon's career started at ILM & LucasArts where he was a Technical Director. From the start, Jon has been developing studio-wide art technology. While having explored everything one can do with Maya, including modeling, animation, visual effects, level design, rigging, dynamic simulation, lighting, etc., his knowledge doesn't end there. Jon has also written tools for Photoshop, After Effects, Motionbuilder, Perforce, JIRA, Shotgun, Simplygon, Unreal, Unity, Dynamixyz, Lipsync Systems, and more.
Jon holds a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. He can occasionally be found teaching at the University of Connecticut. Otherwise he is likely trying to wrangle a certain hyperkinetic rabbity-thing.
